Contribution rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am at least eighteen years old.
  4. I am not a federal contractor.
  5. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
The allocation for funds raised under this Agreement shall be as follows: For contributions from individuals and other federally permissible persons, the first $7,000 of each contribution made through the primary will be allocated to Scholten for Congress with the first $3,500 allocated to the primary election, and the second $3,500 allocated to the general election; after the primary, the first $3,500 will be allocated to Scholten for Congress for the general election. The next $5,000 of each contribution will be allocated to A Pleasant Peninsula PAC. Any additional amount, up to $10,000, will be allocated to the Michigan Democratic State Central Committee. For each contribution from multicandidate PACs, the first $10,000 of each contribution made through the date of the 2026 primary election will be allocated to Scholten for Congress, with the first $5,000 allocated to the primary election, and the second $5,000 allocated to the general election; after the primary, the first $5,000 will be allocated to Scholten for Congress for the general election. The next $5,000 of each contribution will be allocated to A Pleasant Peninsula PAC. Any additional amount, up to $5,000, will be allocated to the Michigan Democratic State Central Committee. Any contributor may designate his or her contribution for a particular participant by contacting jim@bluewavepolitics.com. The allocation formula above may change if any contributor makes a contribution that, when allocated, would exceed the amount that the contributor may lawfully give to any participant.
