While Democrats fought to support Maine working families by strengthening worker protections, passing Paid Family & Medical Leave, expanding the accessibility and affordability of childcare, and more, Republicans were working to weaken Unions, drive down wages, and roll back Maine’s child labor laws. Due to our strong Democratic majorities in Augusta, good bills that benefit Maine’s workers were passed into law and bad bills that hurt workers and wages were tossed by the wayside.
