I'm Scott Houldieson, and I’m not a politician. I’m running for Indiana State Senate District 1, because I stand-up for workers’ rights, and I hear Hoosier voices being silenced across the Region by big corporations and lobbyists.
I’ve walked picket lines with fellow Hoosiers for the last 10+ years, including with the UAW in 2023, and the Steelworkers Local 7-1 in 2015, and I’m ready to stand with them again, because I stand with the working class!
In 2016 the UAW fought to stop the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal that would have hurt U.S. workers. We fought, and we won! The Indiana Senate needs more working class voices, like yours and mine, to reduce the huge influence of corporate lobbyists.
I’ve witnessed corporations infiltrate every aspect of our government, squeezing out the voices of the people, and I can’t stand-by anymore!
I will be a Senator of the residents of Northwest Indiana, and for all the Hoosiers who can't be bought off!
