States Win for Lorena Austin (AZ LD-9 House)

Representative Lorena Austin has represented Arizona’s 9th District since 2022 with the support of States Win, They made history as the first nonbinary Latinx state legislator in the US and have gone on to champion reproductive rights, affordable housing, equitable education, and public safety. Serving on the Commerce and Appropriations committees and as Secretary of the Latino and LGBTQ+ Caucuses, they have delivered results like a $40 million investment in tuition aid and legislation on voter registration, school safety, and housing.


A fifth-generation Arizonan from Mesa and first-generation college graduate, Lorena has worked across public, private, and nonprofit sectors while continuing a family legacy of civil rights and community leadership. They bring deep roots, proven results, and a commitment to equity and opportunity for all Arizonans.

All 90 legislative seats and the governorship is up for grabs in 2026, giving Democrats a chance to shift the balance of power.
