Elizabeth Moro is a longtime Brandywine Valley resident, small business owner, community advocate, and real estate broker. She owns Centreville Place Café + Market, a gathering space inspired by her book, The Civil Graces Project, where conversation, community, and civic life come together. She cofounded Neighbors for Crebilly and was part of the community-wide effort that helped preserve 208 acres of open space at Crebilly for the public to enjoy.
Through grassroots organizing, she worked alongside neighbors and local leaders who shared a commitment to protecting this land for future generations. She earned degrees in political science, public policy, and women’s studies from Western Michigan University and the Lee Honors College, and began her career focused on bringing people together to solve problems with compassion and respect. Elizabeth ran for Pennsylvania’s 160th House District in 2024 and came within just a few points of flipping the seat. Now she’s running again—building on that momentum and working to earn the opportunity to represent the community she calls home.
Elizabeth is deeply committed to creating real solutions by listening, building consensus, and putting the needs of families first. She believes Harrisburg should focus on problem-solving, not political games, and works every day to make that vision a reality for her community.
WHY THIS RACE
Democrats currently hold a one-seat majority in the Pennsylvania House, which they successfully defended in 2024, but were unable to expand. While House District 160 did not flip that year, the district supported Democratic candidates at the top of the ticket, signaling clear momentum. Electing Elizabeth and flipping this seat would strengthen the Democratic majority, protect progress under a Democratic governor, and help ensure Harrisburg prioritizes fundamental rights, strong public schools, and affordability for working families.
WHY PENNSYLVANIA
Pennsylvania is a critical battleground state because it is one of only three states in the country with a divided legislature, making control of state government highly competitive and consequential. The stakes are particularly high in a year when Governor Josh Shapiro is also on the ballot and there is a potential pathway for Democrats to make broader gains across the state. With several recent special elections highlighting how closely contested control of the state has been, Pennsylvania remains a central focus for efforts to shape the state’s political balance and policy direction in the years ahead.
