States Win for Becky Nichols (WI AD 53)

Becky Nichols is an educator, former Menasha Common Council member, former Winnebago County Board Supervisor, and longtime community advocate running to flip Wisconsin State Assembly District 53. Becky served on the Menasha Common Council from 2013 to 2025 and on the Winnebago County Board from 2022 to 2024, building a reputation as a pragmatic leader focused on local problem-solving and community engagement.


A public school teacher, teacher’s aide, childcare worker, and mother, Becky has spent her career working directly with children and families. She frequently emphasizes listening to constituents, finding common ground, and delivering practical solutions that improve quality of life.


WHY THIS RACE

The path to a Democratic majority in the Assembly—and a full Democratic trifecta—runs through the 53rd district. Democrats came within striking distance here under new maps in 2024, making it a top-tier target for both parties. With the seat now open, early investment in Becky is how Democrats turn a near miss into a win.
