Fuel the Fight – One Quart at a Time: an SVT Soup Subscription for Joshua Cole & Elizabeth Guzman

For almost 10 years, Southern Vermont Sister District has been using our beloved SoupScription to raise money for progressive candidates in key swing states. Every bowl we share brings us one step closer to turning districts blue.


This round, every dollar you give goes directly to two extraordinary candidates in Virginia:


Delegate Joshua Cole

Born and raised in the district he now serves, Joshua Cole knows the challenges facing the people of Fredericksburg and Stafford County — and he knows how to fight for them. A pastor, husband, father, and avid Star Wars and Marvel fan, Joshua became the youngest and first Black representative elected from his region in 2019. After a narrow loss in 2021, he came back stronger, winning re-election in 2023 and proving his grit, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his community.


Elizabeth Guzman

A trailblazer and public servant, Elizabeth was the first Latina immigrant elected to the Virginia General Assembly, representing the 31st District for six years. She came to the U.S. as a young single mother with only $300, working three minimum-wage jobs to make ends meet before earning two master’s degrees. A champion for workers’ rights, paid sick leave, and public-sector collective bargaining, Elizabeth has a proven record of bridging divides and getting results for her constituents.

Virginia is a key battleground for protecting fundamental rights, advancing progressive policies, and ensuring a better future for all. Supporting Joshua and Elizabeth is an investment in turning the tide.


How It Works
