Sheryl Johnson- A SD Mom for Congress!

My name is Sheryl Johnson, and I am running for the U.S. Congress in South Dakota.

I was a Republican for decades but quit when it became clear that Ronald Reagan's party of freedom turned into the party of government control, threatening our fundamental freedoms and rights, like how and when we can have kids, who we can love and marry, what religion we choose (or don't choose), what we can do with our property, and where and when we can vote. I was also sick of a party that continually favored the uber-wealthy by handing out tax breaks after tax breaks while snubbing ordinary people who feel a financial sting paying their taxes.

As a US Congresswoman, I will fight for our freedoms and what's fair, including women's rights to make their own health and reproductive decisions. I will also defend our LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit communities and other minority groups. I will fight for comprehensive reforms to our broken immigration system. I will fight the healthcare industry to lower prescription costs. I will fight for a fair tax system that works for ordinary citizens. I will also fight to ensure we are investing in rural economic development infrastructure.
