The 2022 election is just 4 short months away. It will decide the future of reproductive justice in many states, and whether or not anyone – regardless of race, income, or age – is able to maintain control over their own bodies.


We MUST elect pro-choice state legislators this year, especially in the critical states of Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, and Wisconsin.

About The Sister District Project

Since launching in the wake of the 2016 elections, Sister District has grown to nearly 60,000 volunteers across the country. We have endorsed candidates in 131 races across 17 states, 73 of whom won and have gone on to fight for progressive issues in their state legislatures. We have raised $4.25 million in small-dollar donations directly for our candidates and reached out to 3.5 million voters through phones, texts, postcards, and door knocks. 


Sister District has recently expanded our programs to include not only electoral work, but also training newly elected legislators and former candidates, providing a full suite of campaign services to our endorsed candidates, conducting academic-quality civic research, supporting community-based organizations, and working directly with on-campus student organizers.


We are open to volunteers and candidates of all genders, and we are proud to be an organization founded and led by women, including women of color.
