Second Generation is proud to support Jamie Gauthier in her re-election bid for Philadelphia City Council, 3rd District.

Jamie Gauthier is a mother, activist, urban planner, and the daughter of a Caribbean immigrant. Jamie grew up in West Philly and has spent her entire life building bridges between communities as an urban planner, community activist, and elected official. She received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Temple University and her Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, Jamie left her position as Executive Director of the Fairmount Park Conservancy in order to run for City Council in Philadelphia’s 3rd District. She succeeded, defeating an incumbent whose family had held the seat for 45 years.

During her first term on City Council, Jamie has since proven herself to be a champion of fairness, equality, and justice. She was our very first endorsed candidate to win election when we first launched this organization over four years ago. Today, we are proud to stand behind Jamie once again as she seeks another term.
