Seema is running because living isn't affordable for the working middle or lower class. After working in government, politics, charity and education, Seema wants to lift people out of the cycle of poverty. She wants to work with government and colleagues on both sides of the isle, to make living affordable.
Seema's biggest concern is that home ownership in Detroit is at an appalling 39%. The government has clearly failed the people. With redlining, folks cannot buy homes & cannot get loans for education & business. Banks should not have so much power over community.
