#SendEarnestHome

At the age of 17, Earnest Jackson of Omaha, Nebraska, was convicted of a crime that another man confessed to. Mr. Jackson's conviction rested on a sole eyewitness who testified that a "dark-skinned man with braided hair" killed Larry Perry. The details of this testimony were contradicted by the autopsy report. Even so, Mr. Jackson was convicted by an almost all-white jury.

After 21 years of fighting in court, Mr. Jackson remains in prison to this day - even after subsequent trials revealed who actually committed the killing. Absent a legislative remedy, Mr. Jackson's only option is to ask the State of Nebraska for a pardon. YOU can help us #SendEarnestHome.
