On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the 46th Ward Office is hosting our Senior Sock Hop at the historic Aragon Ballroom — a free community celebration dedicated to honoring and uplifting our seniors.
This special event will bring together seniors 60+ from across the ward for an afternoon of:
✨ Live music and dancing
✨ A banquet-style luncheon
✨ Resource tables with valuable programs and services
✨ Fun activities, raffles, and giveaways
Your donation will help us:
- Cover the cost of food and beverages
- Provide live entertainment and engaging activities
- Offer raffles, giveaways, and resource materials
- Create a memorable, inclusive celebration for the seniors who help make our community so special
Every contribution, big or small directly supports our ability to provide a safe, joyful, and impactful event for the elders in our community.

Contribution rules
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I understand that by ordinance of the City of Chicago, no lobbyist registered with the Board of Ethics, or person who has done business with City within the preceding four reporting years, or person who is seeking to do business with the City, shall contribute over $1,500 during a calendar year. This includes persons doing or seeking to do business with the: City of Chicago, Chicago Transit Authority, Board of Education, Chicago Park District, Chicago City Colleges, Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, Chicago Housing Authority, or Public Building Commission.
