As a lifelong local and mother of three, I started Black Mothers in Power to empower Black mothers through education and advocate for fair legislation. Serving in the Army National Guard since 2012 and active in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I've honed skills crucial for effecting grassroots legislative change. My background, including work as a Child Behavioral Therapist, has highlighted the disparities faced by traumatized youth, reinforcing my resolve to improve youth programs and community centers. As your City Council Representative for the 2nd district, I am committed to uniting and uplifting our communities.
Addressing critical issues like housing, police reform, and support for Wilmington’s working class and poor families, I am intensifying my community activism by seeking a leadership role to provide dedicated and bold leadership in tackling these vital issues. As a city councilwoman, I prioritize accessible crucial services for all residents, affordable housing, effective public safety, and equitable budgeting. Join me in these efforts. Learn more about my achievements and future plans for my second term on my platform!
