Re-elect Shane Morigeau for MT HD 95

Goal thermometer

It was an honor to serve as a minority whip and as the Democratic representative for House District 95 during the 2017 legislative session. We accomplished a lot during the 2017 session as I worked hard to get legislation passed to protect everyone in our community and our state. I hope that we can continue forward with our momentum for the 2019 legislative session.

Some of our accomplishments in the 2017 session included the establishment of an Earned Income Tax Credit, $1 Million for suicide prevention, funding for education and senior long-term care, protecting women's reproductive rights, protecting our public lands, reforming our criminal justice sentencing and fighting for equal treatment for our LGBTQI community. I worked hard to pass several bills. Most notably, I passed the Montana Promise Act. This bill established a need based aid grant program for individuals to attend 2 year colleges.

Through my legislative work, leadership roles, attorney experience, and life as a Montanan, I have first-hand knowledge of policy issues that impact our education system, social services, taxes, and our environment. At the same time, I also understand the ongoing economic challenges that our communities still face.

As a legislator, I will continue to work to ensure that all Montanans are treated equally and fairly. My wife, Jamie, and I, along with our pups, Barkley and Yuki, are fortunate to live in a place that offers the best in recreation and employment. I will continue to work with my neighbors to ensure that future generations may also enjoy this very special place.

We still have a lot of work to do and I can’t do this on my own, so I am asking for your help. Getting the message out to voters requires funding for brochures, signs, and other promotional materials. The limit on individual donations per election is $180 or $360 for couples. Your contribution of $180, $150, $100, $75, $50, $25, or whatever you can afford, will help me with continuing my work in Helena. Your early contribution can and will make a significant difference.
