Shared Commitment to a Resilient Community

The Ebony Collective Community Development Corporation started with 7 black women and an idea 4 years ago. Our founders, staff, and you have contributed to seeing that vision through. We started by laying out the foundation of what we thought the community needed through various community development programs such as: Youth, Economic Development and Advocacy. As time went on, we were hit with the pandemic and sprung into action to support the community during the state of emergency. This meant offering cleaning supplies, gift cards and drop offs to folks. We’ve collaborated with various organizations to come up with a plan to give out millions of dollars to black identifying folks, organizations and businesses. We would not exist if it wasn’t for each one of you. Let's do our part by committing to a resilient community.

In celebrating those 4 years, can you give at least $25 to support the commitment of building a resilient community together for another 4 years?

Here is how we may use your support:

  • Your donation of $25 provides one gift card to a volunteer. Our volunteers gain office and workforce skills to put on their resume. The experience also consists of an office and social gathering setting around topics and causes they care about.

  • Your donation of $50 provides folks the opportunity to collaborate and build community together by participating in focus groups, workshops and training. Your contribution enables someone to not have to worry about childcare, food or financial stability while participating in building community. This engagement helps to build the group dynamic we care about creating in The Ebony Collective CDC.

  • Your donation of $100 covers the cost of guest facilitators to host and speak with the community around a topic of interest. When we bring folks together it provides an opportunity for healing together as a community. Bringing someone outside/inside of the state allows the community to have a safespace to have a conversation and come up with solutions collectively.

  • Your donation of $250 covers the cost of one week programming for one of our various programs. We offer community building training, workshops, and other forms of engagement around the following topics: Youth, Economics, Pantry, Environmental, and Safety. Starting the new year, we would like to host a program topic to build community on a quarterly basis. We will explore community healing, gathering around topics and voter education.

  • Your donation of $500 covers the cost to keep our lights on. We have a passion for the work and will love to continue to be run by the community and for the community. We would not exist if it wasn’t for each one of you. Let's do our part by committing to a thriving community.
