I’m Sharron Pettiford, and I’m running for Denver City Council District 8 because I believe our neighborhoods deserve leadership that is experienced, grounded in community, and prepared to bring people together around solutions that strengthen our district.

I’ve spent more than 25 years serving communities and nearly two decades as a rank-and-file union member and labor leader. My work has taken me from the bargaining table to community organizations, public affairs, workforce advocacy, and the fight for working families.

I know what it means to work for a living, to rent in this city and struggle to pay the rent, to care for family, and to watch neighborhoods fight for investment while trying to make sure the people who have held those communities together can still afford to stay. That experience has shaped how I lead, how I listen, and how I approach the work ahead.

Denver’s Fair Elections Fund,

This program is designed to help everyday Denver residents have a bigger voice in our local elections. I need your help qualifying for the Fair Elections Fund.

A qualifying contribution from a Denver resident can be as little as $5. Once our campaign qualifies, contributions from Denver residents are matched 9-to-1 on the first $50 donated. That means a $50 contribution can generate up to $450 in matching funds, giving our campaign as much as $500 in combined support.
