Shawn Moss is a DSA tenant organizer running to put power in the hands of working people and create a Philadelphia that cares.
Shawn spent years moving from place to place, paying nearly his entire paycheck to live in apartments with black mold and other hazardous conditions.
He knows the powerlessness of having your basic survival needs held hostage by someone else's greed. It’s humiliating. He got tired of feeling that way, so he started organizing.
He organized low-income seniors against corrupt, private landlords and won real victories.
Now, he's running for City Council At-Large to bring that organizing to City Hall and build collective power for working people across Philly.
