Sheriff Marian Brown is running for her second full term, based on a strong track record of improving public safety and management. Under her guidance, the Dallas County Jail System has passed inspections, most recently in April of 2023, and she has successfully maintained accreditation for the Jail System's inmate health services from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. She is also participating in gun buybacks to help address gun violence.
