A SD Mom for Congress!

My name is Sheryl Johnson, and I am running for U.S. Congress in South Dakota.

I was a Republican for decades but quit when it became clear that its new fundamental goal was to take away our basic freedoms and rights, including how and when we can have kids, who we can marry, what faith we can choose, and what we can read. I was also sick of a party that pushed giving tax breaks to the wealthy while snubbing ordinary people who are feeling a financial strain every day. 

I became a Democrat after realizing the party aligned much closer to my values of caring about everyday people.

As a US Congresswoman, I will fight for our freedoms, including women's rights to make their own health and reproductive decisions. I will also defend our LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit communities and minority groups. I will fight for comprehensive reforms in our immigration systems. I will fight the healthcare industry to lower prescription costs. I will also fight to ensure we are investing in our public education.
