Hello neighbors! I’m Shivani Dhir, and I’m running for New York State Assembly in District 36 because everyone deserves dignity, stability, and the economic power to build a good life. I came to the U.S. at 14 and watched my parents rebuild through small business ownership and community support. After nearly 15 years in Astoria and a career designing workforce and economic mobility programs, I know how much potential our community has—and how many people are left behind when systems don’t meet real needs.
