Tony Evers has devoted his life to education in Wisconsin, heading up the whole shebang as Superintendent of Public Instruction since 2009, after nearly a decade as the deputy. He keeps getting reelected with massive bipartisan majorities, so you know he’s doing something right.
Evers is running on solving problems, rather than simply being a dutiful partisan hack in the employ of the super-rich donor class. He wants to accept the ACA Medicaid expansion Scott Walker has been blocking for years. His platform is in many ways a mirror image of his opponent’s, by which I mean it is “what a decent human being would do were he or she Governor of Wisconsin.”
For real though, check out that platform. Look at all that detail. Tony Evers knows his shit. He has a plan. He’s ready. Maybe it’s the Hillary Clinton voter in me, but I can’t get enough of these hyper-prepared candidates. And wouldn’t it be nice to have a Governor who champions education rather than using schools as a piggy bank for corporate tax breaks?
And you tell Scott’s terrified of Tony by the desperate horseshit he’s spinning in his ads.
