I'm Josh Burbrink, and I'm running for State Representative because Bartholomew County deserves someone who shows up and does the work.
Think about what brings us together. What makes a community? Your kids' school. Your library. Your fire department. That's what we share, no matter where in this county we live.
My opponent, Ryan Lauer, voted for SEA 1, the law that's about to pull those things apart. It cut $761,000 from our public library and nearly $1.5 billion from local governments across Indiana, all so the state could keep growing a $2.5 billion surplus.
When Lauer voted to cut library funding, he was cutting the Bartholomew County Public Library, where my wife is a librarian. When he squeezed local budgets, he squeezed the volunteer fire department I serve on. These are the things that hold a community together, and he voted to let them fall apart.
Here's the good news: Democrats only need to flip four seats to break the Republican supermajority in the Indiana House. Four seats. That's all it takes to restore some sanity to the Statehouse. This race is one of them.
Your contribution goes directly toward door knocking, signs, and reaching every voter in this district. Whatever you can give moves us closer.
Let's get to work.
