Jon, running in HD-20, worked as a legislative aide in the U.S. Congress before serving as U.S. Foreign Service Officer in the State Department for over 20 years, where he was posted to Denmark, Serbia, Lithuania, and Israel. His final post (and what brought him to NC) was as an advisor to Marine Special Operations Command at Camp Lejeune. He has received several meritorious awards for his work. His priorities include:
