Ramdat Singh for District Leader

Friends,

As a son of immigrants, a Queer, Indo- Caribbean (Guyanese) educator, living in Kingsbridge, I am exploring the vitality of running for office to represent Kingsbridge, Norwood, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, Wakefield, Woodlawn, and Van Cortlandt Village. My biggest takeaway was how disenfranchised our communities are and the need for new leadership to help these communities together.

We've seen the devastation from the COVID-19 pandemic and I've never stopped organizing for our communities. As our lockdowns began, I worked extremely hard to ensure my students received the best education possible and that they were engaged. As our economy began to cripple, I have helped organize food pantries, making sure our community have resources, access to PPE and working with fellow organizers to deliver groceries to our most neediest community members.

Our communities deserve better! We need more resources and stronger leadership that is reflective of our diversity.

We owe it to our communities to elect a District Leader that will help our disenfranchised communities build political power.

I cannot do this work alone and I believe we are stronger together. Help us win this fight by being a supporter, today!
