Help Dan Helmer keep fighting for a Virginia that works for all of us

Dan Helmer is a West Point graduate, Iraq and Afghanistan veteran, Rhodes Scholar, and runs a small business. He represents the 10th District in Fairfax County, where he lives with his wife a proud union member and assistant principal, and their two kids. The son of an immigrant and grandson of Holocaust survivors, he's always fought for a country that welcomed his family.

After unseating a 17-year Republican incumbent in 2019, Dan was elected to the House of Delegates, where he now serves as Delegate for the 10th District. As the Campaigns Chair for the House Democratic Caucus in 2023, Dan fought to retake the House majority, protect a woman’s right to choose, ensure access to affordable healthcare, reduce gun violence, and stop lenders from preying upon students and service members. In 2025, Dan led the effort to expand the Democratic majority in the Virginia House by 13 seats, creating the largest and most diverse majority in Virginia history.

He's the author of Virginia's assault weapons ban and co-led efforts to unmask ICE in Virginia. He chairs the Committee of Counties, Cities, and Towns.

Your contribution will go directly to making sure that Dan can continue to serve as a leader in the House of Delegates.
