Because of our grassroots pressure, Democratic candidates and the American public have been forced to reckon with AIPAC’s platform for bigotry, and its unholy alliance with antisemites, Islamophobes and white nationalists.
A new generation of American Jews, progressives, and our allies successfully demanded that our political and communal leaders break with AIPAC’s status quo — which prioritizes unconditional support for the Israeli government over the safety of American Jews and our neighbors.
In response to our campaign, Democratic 2020 candidates Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders committed to skip AIPAC. Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar also made a commitment, before AIPAC made a last-minute change to their rules to save face, allowing candidates to send pre-recorded videos.
This sort of bold campaign succeeded because of grassroots donors like you, who chip in anywhere from $10 to $36 to $72 to $360.
The next few months will be critical in the movement to ensure that the Democratic Party can hold the Israeli government accountable and to fight back against the right’s weaponization of antisemitism.
Will you pitch in now so we have the resources for our next big campaign?
