Canvassing Overnight Trip with Swing Left to Hampton Roads, VA Saturday Nov. 2nd – Sunday Nov. 3rd

Get on the Swing Left Bus!


It’s that time of year again - no - not Fall - Get Out The Vote time! And this year we’re turning out voters to win the two seats we need in the Virginia House of Delegates and two seats in the Virginia State Senate to turn Virginia Blue. We’re loading up a bus of Democracy lovers on Saturday November 2nd to spend the weekend down in the Hampton Roads area to knock on doors for candidates in key state Legislative districts.


Tickets are just $10 dollars and cover your bus ride to and from Washington DC, a stay in the Holiday Inn in Virginia Beach, a food gift-card to eat on us, and a Lyft credit to get out to your turf to knock doors.


Our buses are clean, comfortable, and will be full of other like-minded activists ready to engage in the rewarding work of taking back our Democracy. Additionally, each bus will have two bus captains who make sure you have everything you need to be successful for a weekend of door-knocking.


This is a weekend trip, meaning we’ll leave DC on the morning of Saturday November 2nd, spend the night in Hampton Roads, and head back to DC in the early evening on Sunday November 3rd. We’ve booked a block of hotel rooms in Virginia Beach - when you purchase your ticket you’ll be asked to fill out a form for hotel accommodation preferences. Riders should be prepared to share a room with one other person, or else indicate you will cover your own accommodations. When you buy your ticket know that this is a full weekend commitment. We can’t wait to see you on the Swing Left Bus!

 

Contribution rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am at least eighteen years old.
  4. I am not a federal contractor.
  5. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
Bus tickets are non-refundable. By boarding the Swing Left Bus you agree to our Volunteer Code of Conduct, and will sign upon boarding the bus.
