Huge news! 500 park rangers across 14 West Coast national parks just voted to unionize! This is the 4th union win this summer and the 11th in the past year.
The ranger-led movement to unionize our national parks is growing, and we need unionized rangers now more than ever. Rangers told us: "We are unionizing for one purpose: to be able to continue to serve the American public."
Park rangers are the first line of defense against the Trump administration's attacks. Attacks on our national parks, public lands, flora, and wildlife—and also on our history, science, stories, and sacred sites.
The Trump administration recently gutted two national monuments, reducing the size of each by 90% and opening that land to mining and development. And parks have been stripped of historical and scientific exhibits that don't line up with Trump's sanitized version of history.
The Labor Force is raising funds to help park rangers unionize. Organizing isn't glamorous—it's road-tripping through remote areas, sleeping in a car, and eating PB&J sandwiches—but it has to be done.
