Decatur’s own Lamont Landers has rocketed to national attention from his early days playing Alabama bars and festivals to a series of viral videos, leading to acclaimed performances at the Apollo Theater, the Grand Ole Opry – singing alongside Vince Gill – and touring with Alabama Shakes, the Black Pumas, Gary Clark Jr., and St. Paul & The Broken Bones. He’s touring nationally for Introducing…Lamont Landers and his newest release For the Record, both produced by legend Dave Cobb for his own MCA imprint, Lucille Records. His music reflects his southern roots and pierces the soul – real, raw, and unforgettable.
Join us for a special acoustic performance at the historic Princess Theatre in Decatur as Lamont returns home to support Andrew Sneed, who’s running to replace incumbent and career politician Dale Strong in North Alabama’s 5th Congressional District.
Andrew Sneed is not a career politician. He’s a husband, father, master plumber and small business owner. The guiding tenets in his life are faith, family, and the dignity of honest work. He decided to run for Congress because Washington is failing us and he knew that together we can take back Congress for the people, not ruled by corporations and special interests. For over a year he has traveled across North Alabama, holding town halls and talking with as many people as he can. His pledge as your US House representative is to hear every voice. People are asking for change. This concert will help make that possible.
