After the 9/11 attacks, Josh Thomas joined the Marine Corps, serving on tours in Afghanistan and the Middle East, which sparked his lifelong passion for service. He earned a law degree from the College of William and Mary, where he focused on aiding small businesses and securing affordable housing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he joined Virginia's Medical Reserve Corps to combat health and economic challenges. In 2023, Josh was elected to represent the 21st District, which includes Gainesville, Manassas, and Haymarket- one of the most competitive districts in the Commonwealth. He is committed to expanding access to affordable healthcare, investing in education, and protecting reproductive rights. Josh currently resides in Manassas, VA, with his wife Mahlet and their young child.
