John Kivela Legacy Fund

Addiction is a terrible disease that took our friend John Kivela’s life far too soon. Now we are joining together to increase treatment options so that more people struggling with addiction can survive and thrive.

Every dollar you donate goes to the John Kivela Legacy Fund, being established within the Great Lakes Recovery Centers Foundation.

Please donate and, if you can, join us in Lansing on May 9 for the first annual

The Kivela family chose the nonprofit Great Lakes Recovery Centers because for nearly 35 years, GLRC has been a leader in providing professional substance abuse and mental health treatment for youth, families and adults across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

While we can’t bring John back, giving to the John Kivela Legacy Fund is one way we all can help make the world better going forward.

On behalf of the Kivela family, GLRC, and the friends of John who are privileged to help put this effort together, thank you for investing in John’s legacy. Special thanks to state Rep. Jon Hoadley for logistical support and to GLRC for making this happen.

Please make checks payable to “Great Lakes Recovery Services Foundation” and bring to the event or send to GLRC Foundation, 97 South Fourth Street, Suite C, Ishpeming, MI 49849. Make sure to write “John Kivela Legacy Fund” in the comment line on your check.
