Dear Friends -

There is so much going on I don't know where to begin! We are full swing into Spring and the events just keep coming. We've participated and supported the following in the last couple of months:

• Unity Conference
• Piedmont Care's Twisted Trivia
• Spring Fling
• SCDP Blue Palmetto Dinner & State Convention
• 5th Congressional District Primary Special Election - Phone Banking & Canvassing
• Tell Them Tuesday's
• Just to name a few

We continue to work everyday to get-out-the-vote for Archie Parnell, the democratic nominee, in the 5th Congressional District Special Election and a direct mail campaign is in the works to target working-class voters with an emphasis on how Trump budget cuts affects them directly. In addition, filing for House District 31 opens on Friday and we will work diligently to educate and inform district 31 voters of their upcoming special election to replace Representative Harold Mitchell.

Our focus at the Spartanburg County Democratic Party is candidate recruitment, voter turnout and education/awareness regarding issues that affect our community on a state and local level. 

In order to continue working to turn Spartanburg County Blue, we need your help!  Every amount, large or small, helps! For example:

• $ 20 covers reminder calls for a monthly lunch, Tell Them Tuesday or GOTV for a special election
• $ 40 covers our email database management for a month
• $ 100 pays our phone & internet for a month
• $ 500 covers rent for a month. HQ is staffed by volunteers and open M-F, 11 am - 2 pm and Wed - 5-8 pm
• $ 2,000 covers a direct mail campaign and hanging placard for the 5th Congressional District or House District 31 Special Election

• Organizing a Roast for Harold on Friday, July 28th - a fun filled evening honoring Rep. Harold Mitchell and all he has done for our community?
• Sponsoring events like Spartanburg Juneteenth?
• Supporting our youth with the Millennial Advisory Panel and College Democrats at USC-Upstate?
