Donate to Southern Progress Fund

The Southern Progress Fund mission is simple - help elect Democrats in the South, promote progressive policies that help people, and defend against efforts to dismantle democracy or disenfranchise voters.

Southern Progress Fund originally launched in 2013 and met with early success when we helped propel Democrat Mark Herring to victory in the Virginia Attorney General race - the closest election in the country that year.

After a five-year hiatus, we decided it was time to relaunch and refocus our efforts, starting in the home state of our founders, where our state motto is “the people rule”, and yet where our system of direct democracy is under assault.

We believe it’s time to speak truth to power and stand up for voters who’ve faced increasing hurdles to exercising their right to vote since the dismantling of the Voting Rights Act.

We know it’s time to hold Republicans' feet to the fire - like Sens. Tom Cotton in Arkansas and Cindy Hyde-Smith in Mississippi.

With your help, we will make progress in the South and lay the groundwork for the South to once again be a Democratic stronghold.
