Spice Nguyen-Zhu's fundraiser for Seed the Vote!

Seed the Vote works to build the number and power of progressive elected officials, while also blocking Trump and the far right from taking power in federal elections. Seed the Vote does this by sending volunteers to “battleground” states to doorknock and phonebank. Because we know that long-term change won’t happen only through elections, Seed the Vote sends volunteers to local partner organizations that work year-round on social justice issues in working-class communities of color.

I’m raising money for Seed the Vote because we are pulling ourselves out of despair and complacency to jump into action with hope and enthusiasm! We recognize this historical moment when we need to do our part to make sure we are building towards the future that we want. We believe in the power of local groups to take the lead, we believe in sending them resources and people power, and we believe in working and organizing together with Seed the Vote!

This year, Seed the Vote is planning to send 3,000 volunteers to doorknock. Because we don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone who wants to canvass, I’m raising funds to pay for travel & lodging for volunteers. We have set a personal fundraising goal of $5,000, and have donated $1,000 so far.
