Help Support Our Work to Turn Out the Vote in 2024

This year Indivisible Asheville/WNC ('Indivisible AVL') has committed energy and resources to a major voter engagement campaign, and we need your help to make it work.

After our successes leading voter outreach in 2020 and 2022, we decided to expand our reach in this critical election year by working in collaboration with other community groups.

  • Our goal: To boost turnout among those voters who most often feel left out and disconnected from voting—young people, low-income residents, communities of color, the formerly incarcerated, and those who face physical or language barriers to voting.
  • The result: A new coalition of nonprofits, WNC Votes, is now holding monthly door-to-door canvasses and frequent tabling events. Under Indivisible AVL's leadership, we are working in collaboration to register voters, provide critical information about voting, and help voters navigate the barriers to voting passed last year by the General Assembly.

Indivisible AVL is leading the way.

Early this year Indivisible AVL launched the new collaborative effort and continues to serve as the lead organization, providing organizational leadership, resources and materials. The energy and time come from volunteers. But to cover the hard costs—including printing, supplies, venue rentals, publicity—we depend on supporters like you.

Donations have powered our work over the past 7+ years, and we’re confident this support will continue as we go forward.

During our 2024 Spring Match, between April 1st and May 31st, a special dollar-for-dollar match from the national Indivisible Project will double your donation up to a total of $500.

Help Us Reach Our Goal

Every donation during April and May does double duty, and no amount is too small. Some of the expenses we face in our expanded voter outreach activities this year include:

  • $25 – Water and snacks for canvassers
  • $50 – Volunteer recruitment flyers
  • $150 – Canvass training room rental
  • $200 – Signage for tabling events
  • $300 – Printing voter education materials

We know our task this year is doubly important: Here in North Carolina, we’re facing extreme gerrymanders on top of new voter suppression laws from Republicans in the state legislature, in addition to MAGA extremism, division and apathy all around.

We know that empowering voters in 2024 is more important than ever. Engaging with those who are not likely to vote, listening to their concerns, helping them navigate barriers, and inspiring them to believe that their voice matters, has the power to shift an election.

Please consider making a contribution today. Your support will make all the difference.

Thank you.
