With the current administration attacking climate legislation, it’s more important now than ever to elect progressives down ballot who will fight for our communities.

We’re endorsing some of the strongest climate leaders in the country running in the toughest and most important races for climate action — and we need your help to help them win!

We’re backing candidates who have pledged to regulate utilities, reject dirty money from the fossil fuel energy, and pass strong legislation on clean energy.

At Lead Locally, we are helping recruit, train, and provide resources to leaders that, if elected, will:

• Build climate majorities in state legislatures that could lead the nation, but need to do more;
• Win a Democratic Trifecta in Virginia, the first purple state in the country to have state legislative elections since Trump took office;
• Regulate the fossil fuel industry and state utilities to enact fair utility rates and support the clean energy transition; And lead as Green New Deal Mayors and City Councillors in cities across the country where they can pass bills to support clean energy, enact bold environmental justice plans, and lead on progressive reform.

While the Trump Administration works to dismantle the progress we’ve made on climate policy in recent years, these local and state elections provide an opportunity to defend and expand climate legislation with a huge impact for millions of people.
