October 25 Roadtrip to Keep New Jersey Blue

On Saturday, October 25 we'll be waking up bright and early to take a coach bus to northern New Jersey to knock on doors and get out the vote for Mikie Sherrill and the Democratic Ticket.

WHAT: Day Trip to Knock Doors in New Jersey

WHEN: Saturday 10/25/25, departing the South Shore (TBD, but likely at 6am from the Rockland Park & Ride)

and returning later that evening

WHY: The NJ governors race is make-or-break for the Democratic Party as we look towards taking back the House and Senate in 2026. Polling has tightened in recent days and the Trump Administration is engaging in dirty tricks to try and propel their candidate to victory.

What's the plan?

We will leave the South Shore first thing in the morning on a luxury coach bus complete with a restroom, leather seats, and wifi. We will arrive in New Jersey rested and ready to knock some doors, we will have lunch, knock some more doors, and then head back to Massachusetts on the bus, returning around 8 or 9pm.

Who is Dudes?

Donna Dudik was born and raised in New Jersey and was an amazing Democratic activist and a fighter for the rights of Nurses and and all of organized labor through the Massachusetts Nurses Association. She was always there to lend a hand to the cause, including offering up her family's Jersey shore cottage to house canvassers during our trips to PA in 2026 for Harris/Walz. We're taking this trip to honor Donna's memory after her untimely passing earlier this year, and to keep her unwavering commitment to doing the work necessary to win alive.

Reserving a Seat

Please use the donation form on this page to reserve a seat - we ask for a $30 donation to offset the cost of the trip, or a $75 donation to cover the entire cost of your seat on the bus. If the $30 fee presents an obstacle in any way please let us know and we will be happy to waive the fee. The whole goal of SSDC Federal PAC is to make sure the people looking to do the work are able to go on these trips without spending a penny.

Firming Up Details

We have a bus reserved but have not yet signed our contract - once it is finalized we will have exact information about pick up location and time. Please do not wait to purchase your seat, though, as we need to make sure there are enough volunteers to justify a coach bus before we sign the contract.
