South Shore Dems to VA - Commit to Join

This form is for volunteers who are committed to joining the South Shore Dems for a trip to Fairfax County, VA leaving on Friday, September 5 and returning on Sunday evening, September 7.

WHAT: Canvassing in the Washington D.C./Fairfax suburbs to get out the vote for John Walkinshaw the Democratic Nominee for U.S. Representative from Congressional District 11.

WHY: This is currently the most important election for Democrats to turn the tide on the path to win back House. If Fairfax and the surrounding suburbs turn out to vote for Walkinshaw, he wins!

RSVP: We are asking for a small donation of $10 on this page to secure your spot and commit that you are attending - if this donation presents an issue, please let us know.

TRAVEL: We will be flying to Washington D.C. from the South Shore. If you would prefer to buy your own ticket and fly into the DC area we can coordinate picking you up at the airport.

LODGING: We are booking hotel rooms now with two queen/full beds in each. If you are travelling with someone you would want to room with, please let us know.

If you would prefer to room alone, the cost is $200 additional to cover our increase in costs - you can pay on this page.

MEALS: Our goal is to cover the cost of meals and we have budgeted $70 per day, per person in line with the federal per diem rate for the Fairfax region.

The South Shore Democratic Caucus was established in 1976 to further the efforts of the Democratic Party on Massachusetts South Shore. We are a coalition of Democratic Activists from Hingham, Cohasset, Duxbury, Scituate, Norwell, Marshfield, Hull and Weymouth.
