This is Martin O'Malley, former Commissioner of the Social Security Administration. Can you chip in today to help SSW protect Social Security from being destroyed by the Trump administration?

The Social Security Administration is in free fall. The Trump administration can't even keep Field Offices open! All around the country, there are empty "ghost offices" or sporadic office closures.

This awful mess is a direct result of the deep cuts inflicted on this hard-working agency by DOGE and its successors. The Trump administration has reduced SSA's staffing to a 60-year low and created a hostile work environment.

As a former Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, I'm heartbroken that 7,000 career workers who served alongside me at the SSA—and who proudly made sure that Americans' benefits were paid in full and on time—have been pushed out by the Trump administration. And I'm disgusted when I see headlines like "Your Social Security office may be temporarily closed," because I know how much Americans depend on Social Security benefits and its offices.

It's never been as bad as it is right now. Social Security Works has been fighting hard to protect Social Security, a public system that generations of Americans worked to build and would be devastated to lose. With the fight becoming more urgent than ever, they need our support.

That's why I'm asking you to support Social Security Works right now. If we don't fight back with all we've got, there will be more of this from Trump! Please, will you chip in any amount now to help SSW keep fighting to protect Social Security?
