The Trump administration is undertaking an Orwellian plot to erase the history of Social Security.

They want to destroy the original headquarters of the Social Security Administration, which is covered in historically significant murals such as Ben Shahn’s The Meaning of Social Security and Seymour Fogel’s The Wealth of the Nation. 


Art experts call the Cohen building ‘The Sistine Chapel of American Art.’


The proposed demolition is about more than a building―it erases the true history of our Social Security system, setting the stage for the utter destruction of the program.
