The so-called “Department of Government Efficiency,” which will be co-chaired by MAGA Megadonor Elon Musk and failed billionaire Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, is the latest in a long line of plots from the ultra-rich to set up a closed-door fast-track process for cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
Musk’s stated goal is to slash one-third of government spending, which is essentially impossible without cutting Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid.
Social Security Works was founded to defeat commissions like the Musk-Ramaswamy one. We beat Bowles-Simpson. We beat the Supercommittee. We can beat this one too―but only with your help.
