A Small County Making a Big Impact
Granville County sits at the heart of North Carolina’s political crossroads—a rural community proving that year-round organizing can change statewide outcomes. In 2024, Granville Democrats flipped NC House District 32 with the election of Bryan Cohn, held Senate District 18 with Senator Terence Everitt, and helped break the GOP supermajority in the legislature. We also won three of four school board races, protected two county commission seats, and knocked more than 23,000 doors.
We did it through disciplined, people-powered organizing—the kind that doesn’t vanish when the election’s over.
Now, we’re working to strengthen that infrastructure, expand our reach, and prepare for the fights ahead in 2026 and 2028.
We’re proud to be part of We Stand Together’s network of county Democratic committees building durable power across impactful communities. When you give here, you’re investing directly in the local infrastructure that keeps Democrats competitive—and wins elections that change the map.
Your donation to Granville County Democrats through this partnership will:
Campaigns end. Committees endure.
Your support builds the foundation that every Democratic victory depends on.
To sustain our progress and expand our impact, our We Stand Together fundraising goal is to raise $1,000–$2,000 per month from small-dollar donors and local allies. Every contribution—whether $5, $50 or $500—directly fuels fieldwork, outreach, and the organizing that wins elections from the bottom of the ballot up. To the end...would you consider setting up a recurring donation today?
Your gift today strengthens democracy right here in Granville County.
"Granville County Democrats are proving that rural organizing works—that when neighbors talk to neighbors and stay engaged between elections, we can flip seats, hold ground, and build a future that works for everyone.
Thank you for standing with us, and for believing in the power of local, people-led democracy."
