House District 16 raised me, shaped me, and taught me how to fight for the place I call home. From the families along Coors to the schools that shaped me, these aren’t just boundaries—they are my community.
I come from a working-class family where service was a responsibility, not a chore. Whether it was my father serving in the Navy or my mother turning Election Day into a holiday, I learned early on that caring for your neighbors is what matters most.
When our Governor called for more teachers, I went back to the same elementary school I attended to teach kindergarten. I’ve seen firsthand how education & community can change a child’s life.
But right now, our district is facing real challenges. I know the fear of feeling unsafe—I once had to hide in a dumpster to survive a life-threatening encounter because the police took over an hour to arrive. No one in District 16 should ever feel that vulnerable.
I’m running because we need a fighter who will stand up for Albuquerque’s Westside, not someone who just keeps the peace for Santa Fe. We are building a movement for safe sidewalks, thriving small businesses, and a future where families can afford to stay in the neighborhoods where they grew up.
