Republicans have launched a partisan attempt to recall Sharon MacDonell and we can't let that happen.
Democrats currently hold a 56-54 majority in the House.
We are seeing a clear and present threat to the Democratic legislative majority and the will of the voters who elected Rep. MacDonell.
Republicans hope this recall petition will gain enough signatures to force a special election that will remove Sharon from the legislature.
Holding the majority is now even more important as democracy in Michigan suddenly feels very fragile.

Funds from the general election campaign are not allowed to go toward a special election. To be in compliance with the law, this is a new fundraising cycle to fight off this recall. You may have already given the maximum individuals are allowed to give annually for the upcoming 2024 general election ($1,225). But due to the recall, that maximum amount can be given again by individuals to this new account.
