I’m Assemblymember Stefani L. Zinerman, and I’m proud to represent Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights in the New York State Assembly.


Housing is the number one concern in our community. That’s why I authored a three-part statewide framework to prevent, defend, and restore in cases of deed theft and fraudulent property transfers—protecting every New Yorker’s home, title, and generational wealth.


But affordability is not just about housing—it’s also about income. That’s why I advanced Community Hiring legislation, created pipelines in healthcare, transportation, and green industries, and expanded training so workers can earn wages that go beyond “livable” to truly sustain their families.


Together, we’ve also:

  1. Healthcare Justice: Passed protections for safety-net hospitals, secured funding for Interfaith Medical Center, and launched the Volunteer Health Corps so neighbors gain life-saving skills while maintaining Medicaid and SNAP coverage.
  2. Civil Rights & Equity: Helped pass New York’s Reparations Commission, defended voting rights at every level, and led the charge against Project 2025 with our own Agenda 2025 framework for democracy and justice.
  3. Education & Youth: Expanded Summer Youth Employment Program opportunities, launched Power Up: Youth Leading Change, and secured critical resources so students, schools, and families can thrive across the district.
  4. Community Legacy & Environmental Justice: Secured land for the Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance Corps, delivered funding for community-based organizations, championed food sovereignty and climate resilience, and invested in cultural heritage.


Now I’m running for re-election in 2026 to keep building on this progress. Opposition forces are determined to roll back our wins and silence our voices. I won’t let them. But I need your help.
