Fund for Starbucks Workers
The Coworker Solidarity Fund is a nonprofit platform that mobilizes financial and strategic support for people who are taking action to improve their work lives and working conditions, reduce structural inequality in their industry, or address their company’s impact on society and the environment.
The Starbucks Workers Fund is led by current and former Starbucks baristas and it offers $2,500 individual stipends for workers organizing at Starbucks, fighting to democratize their workplaces and the economy. Worker activists and organizers use their stipends to cover organizing costs like laptops, phones, banners, and other critical needs like housing, food, healthcare, and more, so they can continue to fight for change.
Over $900,000 have been disbursed to more than 300 workers who have received Coworker Solidarity Fund stipends. Many of them have made historic wins in their workplaces.
