The State Slate: Round 1

The State Slate is a fundraising effort from the tech community to help candidates in eleven closely contested state house elections across the country. These are races that have been identified through spreadsheet magic as unusually likely to benefit from fundraising help. You can read about the project in detail here.

In Florida, we're backing five candidates in a bid to win back the state house and break the Republican hold on state government.

In North Carolina, where Democrats need to win five seats to get a house majority, we're backing two candidates who have a strong chance at winning.

In Pennsylvania, Democrats need to win nine seats to get a house majority. We're backing four candidates in state house races, all in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Finally, in Minnesota, where Democrats are three votes shy of a senate majority, we're backing a candidate in a solid Clinton district with historically low spending.

You can donate up to $1,000 per candidate in Florida and Minnesota, $5,400 for North Carolina, and an unlimited amount to Pennsylvania candidates.
