State Slate: Pennsylvania
The State Slate is an effort by the tech community to help excellent Democratic candidates in winnable state races nationwide. This page is for people who want to focus their donations on our nine candidates in Pennsylvania.
We need to win just 9 seats in Pennsylvania in 2020 to capture the state house. Each of our candidates on the State Slate is in a competitive race against a Republican incumbent, or running for an open seat.
Many of these candidates are running in the Philadelphia suburbs, where both demographic and political shifts since 2016 strongly favor a Democratic challenger. Unfortunately, these seats are also in a more expensive media market, and prices have been driven up by the Presdiential campaign.
Not only will helping our Pennsylvania candidates help win the state house (with enormous implications for post-2020 Census redistricting), but it will also help turn out votes for the Biden/Harris ticket in a must-win state for Trump. The latest polls show Biden leading in the state by about six points, and state candidates, who campaign locally, can help turn that polling lead into votes.
Even though the election is close, your money still helps in these state house races! Whether you can give a little or a lot, please help make Pennsylvania blue again!
