Fair and Equal Representation in Government
Nearly 20 state legislatures draw the maps used in Federal races to elect Congress. It is impossible to disconnect the control of Congress from the control of state legislatures.
The Party in control at the state level draws the maps. The fairness of elections can be undermined by engineering districts to eliminate fair and equal representation in government.
Republicans in state legislatures utilize their dominance to withdraw fundamental rights from large swaths of our beloved nation. As long as the GOP dominates down ballot races, our rights will never truly be safe from erosion or outright revocation.
Down ballot wins deliver fair maps and top-of-the-ticket wins. Down ballot wins are the key to Flipping the House (and wins at the top-of-the-ticket).
